Orders & Enquiries
If you would like to commission a portrait,  please contact me to discuss your requirements.
I work from good quality, digital photographs that show the facial features clearly.
For a group portrait, I can take separate photographs to create a beautiful portrait together.
Don't hesitate to contact me for more information, or if you would like me to take a look at your photographs before you make a decision to proceed, I'm happy to help.
The email address to send your photographs or enquiries is : enquiries@lordsportraits.com
Alternatively, you can use the online contact form to get in touch with me.
Please note I do reserve the right to decline a portrait if I feel the reference photographs are not of sufficient quality to make a good representation.

Your Portrait
My portraits are hand drawn.  They are totally unique drawings that will capture that special moment.  All portraits are drawn on superior quality Fabriano Artists Paper using only the very finest quality materials.
Your portrait will usually be completed within 28 days, but if you have a shorter deadline in mind, then please contact me, and I'll do my utmost to meet this for you.
If you are providing more than one photograph, I will confirm which photograph I will be basing the portrait on prior to starting work.
On completion of your portrait, I will email you a proof to approve.

I have received excellent feedback for my portraiture, with many repeat customers wordwide. See
Testimonials for examples.

Copyright

Photographs are copyright, and ownership usually belongs to the person who took the photo, or the person who paid for it to be taken.
For each photo you send me, you are granting me an indefinate licence to use it, copy it and display it in any way-so it's important that you own the copyright, or have permission to grant this licence.
For each photo you send me you are agreeing to indemnify me against any costs arising from claims made against me by a person claiming to own the copyright.
When you commission a portrait, you are granting me the licence to use the artwork on my website and for general promotion, this may include placing your image in my brochures, or on any other printed material that I may use to promote my work.

Other Terms & Conditions
If you do not wish to pay the balance for the finished portrait, you will forfeit the initial deposit, and I will retain ownership of the drawing and it's copyright will vest in me, along with the right to display or sell the original and/or images of it to third parties.  I may place an image of your purchased portrait in my various web galleries, and use it in my publicity, unless at the time of order, you specifically request me not to do so.

Your payment of the deposit constitutes your confirmation of your acceptance of the terms and conditions of this page.

Photographs
I only work from photographs, therefore, it is essential that the photo(s) you provide clearly show the head and shoulders.  The photographs must be clear, sharp and a good representation of your subject.
If possible try to send more than one photograph.  Digital photographs are preferred as these are so much clearer, more detailed and can be easily emailed to me.
Try to ensure that your digital camera is set to the highest possible quality settings for the photographs.

Pet Portrait Photographs
Avoid using the flash, as it tends to wash photographs out, and changes the colour of pets fur/eyes.  For best results, try to take the photographs outside on on overcast day, avoid sunny days if possible, but if you cannot avoid this, then try to take the photographs with your back to the sun.  Try to take the photos at your pets eye level, rather than looking down at them, and it may be useful to have an extra pair of hands to help attract your pets attention, for example by shaking your pets favourite toy, so you can snap away!.
This may require some patience, so be prepared to take many photographs until you get the perfect one, but remember the better the photo, the better the portrait.
